About Us
Family owned and operated since 1940.
..... This family owned and operated store started off in Cincinnati as a resale shop in the 1940s. This led to the opening of a gun and typewriter sales and repair business that eventually in 1962 moved into retail office furniture and supplies. In 2003, after receiving many requests for residential furniture we turned some of our warehouse space into a home furnishing shop "Algin Retro" the good responses we received from the community allowed us to grow to where we are today. Focusing on mid century modern Reproductions, "upcycled" pieces, contemporary furnishings as well as fantastic art from our local artist community!

Testimonials
Brian Cottingham Design Inc
"We needed furniture so I went to the major chains looking a new furniture then I started looking at a few 'used' stores. Algin stood out. Their prices were much better and the quality of the furniture was good. Simply put, they have an honest business and they are easy to deal with."
Abby R
"Thank you so much for the pics, info and customer service. I talked to several companies that had these tables and refused to purchase them due to the rudeness of their sales associates. I would have bought this one even if the purchase price had been higher just for that reason. I certainly appreciate all the help and attention that you guys have given. It really means a lot. Your company has one of the best customer services I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with."
Barry C
"I'm very happy with the red barstools I bought. You did an excellent job wrapping them up & they stayed dry in the pouring rain. I'll be back for more shopping!"
Lisa W
"We're really enjoying our new chairs and sofa!"

I'm drawn to photography for the same reasons I am drawn to music. For me, the act of taking a photo is a meditative experience, there is only the present moment. Looking through the lens quiets the white noise of daily life. When I am framing a shot -- whether it's a tree or a waterfall or sunlight filtering in a window – my little corner of the world suddenly makes more sense....

Matt Haarmeyer
A sheet metal worker by trade. The goal of my art is to show the beauty in objects the world does not pay attention to. The things that were made out of function and most likely only seen by a tradesman. The pieces of my art formed by someone decades ago that was just working a trade. What is the story behind the parts not just the art. I want to show my appreciation for the work that these long forgotten craftsmen did. My art is to keep pieces of these craftsmen alive long after they are gone. I am simply telling the stories of their masterpieces and how well they stood the test of time.
